<Exr 100> Robert Benian of Dubber in the County of Dublin gent sworn { e } & examined deposeth and saith That on Trinity Sunday 1642 he this deponent att ffinglasse bridg nere Dublin, was deprived robbed & dispojled of one 20 English Cowes, one Mare and a nagg worth above 40 li. By the Rebell{s} James Long & Tho Long both of Abbotstowne in the County of Dublin gentlemen (twoe Captains or Comanders of Rebells Thomas ffloody of the same farmer Richard ffreind and Nicholas ffreind of Dunsinck in the same County farmers Richard Strong of Glassenevin nere Dublin gent, and divers other{s} whose names he cannott expresse: Which said Rebells before named (after the Rebelljon began and before the Cessation of Armes) much frequented the howse of Mr Seagrave of the Cabrough nere Dublin: & sent to this deponent to meete & drinck with them there: And the said ffloody himsel{fe} tould this deponent that hee and the other Rebells before named could come vn{to} Mr Seagraves said howse and be welcome there when they pleased & did bragg and boast thereof to this Deponents face: And further saith that the Rebell{s} before named were (as the said ffloody alsoe confessed to this Deponent) {harboured}

harboured in the towne of Cappoge nere ffinglasse, the very night before they tooke away this deponents cattell and about Lx head of Cattell and horses more then belonging to Deane Wilson Mr Hughson of Swords & John Englands and a gelding of Mr Abell Rams, which gelding was worth xj li. And further saith that about the later end of November 1641 This Deponent at Dubber aforesaid was robbed & deprived of 2 horses and 2 Carrs worth 7 li. ster. By Simon Jordan of Barbistowne in the County of Dublin gentleman a Rebellious Captain and by Loghlin Shaghnes his souldjer And quickly after this deponent at Dubber aforesaid, was robbed of 2 other horses & Carrs worth vj li. xiiij s. by one that was second sonne of Mr Conron of Wianstown & by ffrancis Chamberlaine of keelreesk in the said County of Dublin gent whoe then and there alsoe surprized and tooke away prisoners with them this deponents servant man and mayd, and kept them in restraint vntill the seige and Battaile of Kilsanghan: And about January 1641 this deponent at ffinglasse nere Dublin was robbed of 2 other horses and Carrs worth iiij li. xiij s. iiij d. & of three other horses and a Mare worth viij li. by the said ffrancis Chamberlaine and the said second sonn of the said Mr Conron of Wyanstowne, And this deponent was then expelled his farme at Dubber, his interest therein being worth xxx li., And soe was deprived of his Course of liveing, and since hath been emplojed as Provost Martiall for the Counties of Dublin Meath & other places Wherein he hath done his Maiesty & Parliament that acceptable service that he rather leaveth to be expressed by others then to relate himself. And further saith that the Rebells aforenamed that were soe entertained at Mr Segraves att Cabrough were the cheef men that robbed and tooke cattell from the suburbs of Dublin and the greene there, and from all the other parts nere, and on the northsyde of Dublin, As the said ffloody hath often since the Cessation of Armes confessed to him this deponent
