<C> Adrian Strong the sunday morning [ ] between 6 and 7 of th{e} clock, so having had conference with Miles Parry tould the said hee the said Parry th{en} tould the examinant that there were then 5000 Scottish men in Armes landed at [Loury] hell, and that ther were 500 Scottish shipps & boats in the harbor saying also they come to make vs afraid, But the Gentlemen will not now bee afraid, for now they take hart of Grace, and every Esquir had hath 7 or 8 musketts redy in his house, and every Gentleman 4 or 5 musketts,
