The examinacion of Redmond Magwire of Inishskillinge in the Com of ffermanagh taken before us Sir Ri Bolton knight Lord Chancellor of Ireland and Sir Gerrard Lowther knight &c the first day of November 1641.
<O> This examinant saith that on munday last was seunight beinge st. Lukes day hee departed from Inishskillinge and that night Lodged with his brother in Lawe Coconnoght Ohone about three miles distant from Inishskillinge aforesaid, On Twesday night hee lodged at Newton, [ ] about fowreteene miles from his said brother in Lawes, on Wednesday Night hee Lodged at the black=bull fifteene miles from Newton aforesaid, & on Thursday hee over tooke the thy Lord Maguire about fower miles this side the Navan at the H neere the Hill of <P> Taragh and that there was then in the Lord Maguires company Patrick mc Mahan Patricke Maguire Phelim Cassidy; Tho: mc Mahan, and Tirlagh o Connor of the County of ffermanagh whoe lodged at Dunshoghlin that night together with the examinant And that this examinant did ride along to Dublin with the said Lord Maguire on ffriday being the next day followeinge and having putt vpp his horse waited on him my lord to the Redd Lyon Taverne in Copper Allie that eveninge. there being in his Lordshipps Company Captaine mc Mahan and divers others in scarlett and scarfes whose names hee knowes not, and there remained drinkeinge for the space of an houre, and after that went into the Towne with the younge m e n <Q> whoe attended on my Lord and did drinke with them, and after that came to his Lordshipps Lodginge at Nevills howse in Castlestreete. where hee did drinke with somme of his Lordshipps servants vntill Nyne of the Clock that night, And thence

<R> departed to his owne lodginge at one Betagh his howse in the Backlane, And vpon saturday hearinge that the Lo: Maguire was apprehended was fearefull because his name was Maguire and that hee came in the Lo: Maguires Companie to Towne, And vpon Sunday about Twelue of the Clocke hee went to Stonie Booter for his horse whence hee was apprehended,
