John Croose of the parrish and Barrony of Ardagh in the countie of Longford Innkeeper duely sworne deposeth that about the begining of this present Rebellion at Ardagh aforesaid he this Deponent with his wife and three children was robbed and dispoiled by the Rebells of these goods hereafter named Vizt he was first thrust out of his house which cost him aboue 30 li. in building besides his interest in the same dureing the life of the Bishopp of Ardagh, which by the Rebellion is now made nothing worth. 9. Cowes and {a} yeareling Calues horses sheepe and all his househol{d} goods together with the said 30 li. in building, in all to the value of about 100 li., By or by the meanes of Hugh <A> mc Richard ffarrell of Lisnebuddagh in the parish of Clonbrony in the said county Gent all accompanied with Thomas Mc Neboe Brian mc Neboe of Lisnegonell of the parrish of Clonbrony who came to this deponent in his house and told him that he must deliuer vp his house and goods vnto them the said ffarrell soe saying that they must giue Acoun{t} to ffaghna mc Lisagh ffarrell a Justice of peace of Lisnevenagh in the Countie of Longford And sai{th} that another of the Rebells that Robed this deponen{t} <B.> his name is Galleoge ffarrell of the Brena in the parrish of Killglussom in the said Countie gent and James mc Lynnan of Ardagh gent whoe thre{a}tned to Kill this Deponent if he would not discouer vnto him where the Bishop of Ardaghes gowne and other goods Lay; also Derby Kegan a popish preist of the parrish of Ardagh threatened to kill this depon{ent} because he suspected that this deponent had sent word to the said Bishopp to giue him notice of the rebells

And he said further that this deponent had but the Loane of his head, also this deponents trunck was <C.> taken from him by one James the servant of Brian ffarrell of Ballingtubber in the parrish of Tasenn{ } in Com. Longford which Brian ffarrell was a Captain of 100 Rebells which were at Ardagh in the tyme of this present Rebellion, also one Gairbuy o Goghlan a seruant to the said Bishopp tooke away a tubb of Butter of this deponents and is one of the said Bryan ffarrel{ls} souldiers.
