The examinacion of William Moore of Clownish in the Com of Monoghan taken before us Sir Ri: Bolton knight Lord Cha: of Ireland: and Sir Gerrard Lowther knight &c. the third day of Nouember 1641
<H> This examinant saith that hee was Borne at Mariborough in the queenes County and that hee is of the banished Scept of the Moores there and hath liued the most parte of his life at Clownish in the Com of Monaghan. And that the occacion of his Comeing to Dublin at this tyme was to gaine some preferment vnder the Captaines which hee heard were then goeinge into Spaine And that on ffriday was seunight about Twelue of the Clocke hee came to Dublin havinge noe man in his Company but Patricke mc Caghrey, And that on Saturday about Tenn of the Clocke in the morneinge hee was apprehended in Cookestreete Dublin. having noe other weapon about him but his sword. and a knife.
