The examination of Sir Dudley Loftus Knight taken before us the third day of November 1641
<T> Who saith that upon Symon & Judes day last or the next day after one Gerald Rely of Moyfin Edmund Edmundson in the countie of Meth came to this examinants house at Killian and asked him what newes he heard to which this examinant s answered that the unruly multitude were not soe bad as they were and that he hoped they began to repent them of their doeings To which <V> the said Gerald replyed that there was worse newes then that For that Owen roe o Neale was Lately arived out of Spaine and was the night before at Dunboyne with thirty thousand men and that he had taken and defeated the army which the state had sent against the North
