The Examinacion of Dermott Cavenagh of Lassallyca{n} in the County of Catherlagh gent taken before us Sir Richard Bolton knight Lord Chancellor of Ireland & Sir Gerrard Lowther knight Lord Chief Justice of his Maiesties Court of Common Pleas this 9th of 9ber 1641.
<C> This Examinant saith that he dwelleth at Lassallycan in the County of Catherlagh & that about Satursday last was seunight he tooke his Journey from thence towards Dublin & came that night to Corroghbeg within three miles of his owne house & one on Sunday was seunight he came to Killcoole in the same County & lodged at the howse of one Dallagh Birne the next day he came to Mone in the County of Kildare & there lay at James Eustace his howse the next day he came to the Naas to the howse of one Ony ny Brian thence the next day he <D> came to James Eustace his howse at Clongus wood in the County of Kildare & there stayed untill yesterday & then came to Dublin about one of the clocke in the afternoone of the said day & that hee supped in the company of Conly mc Goghegan & diuerse others whose names hee did not then know but now hee understandeth that they are the same th Brian mc Goghegan Donnogh Goghegan Brian รด Hara Donnogh Kego Daniell Hurrogh & one Birmingham there was likewise a Stabler whose name he knoweth not. And that after supper they were all apprehended except Bermingham & the stabler by the Officers of the Citty. Hee further saith that hee came to <E> Dublin to fetch some writings of his which were in the Custody of Thomas Cavenagh of Highstreet Dublin Tailor. And hee further saith that hee and his seruant Morrice had each of them a rapier and noe other weapon.
