The Examinacion of Brian ô Hara taken before us Sir Richard Bolton knight Lord Chancellor & Sir Gerrard Lowther knight Lord Chief Justice of his Maiesties Court of Common Pleas this 9th day of 9ber 1641.
<L> The Examinant saith that he is seruant unto ô Connor Sligo & that he came to Dublin upon Thursday was fortnight & that ever since his comming to Dublin he hath lodged in the howse of Tieg Connor in St Francis street & that the occasion of his coming to Dublin was to solicite a Cause depending before the Lords Justices betweene Sir George Ratcliffe & his said Maister ô Connor Sligo And further saith that yesternight in the said Tieg ô Connors howse hee supped in the Company of Conly mc Goghegan Brian mc Goghegan Donnogh Goghegan Donnogh Kego Dermott Cavenagh Morrice Cauenagh one Bermingham & an other man whose name he knoweth not which who is said to be a Stabler Hee saith that none came in Company <M> with him to this Towne but his owne footboy & saith that shortly after supper this Examinant & all the rest of the persons aboue named, excepted Birmingham & He the stabler were apprehended by the officers of the Citty this Examinant beeing in bed at the time of their apprehension Hee further saith that he knoweth Conly mc Goghegan & Brian ô Goghegan by sight only & that he was well acquainted with Donnogh Kego but to his knowledge hee neuer saw any of the rest of the aboue named persons before the last night.
