The Examination of Christopher Hampton taken before mee by Direction of the Right honorable the Lords Justices & Councell this xjth of December 1641
<F> The said Hampton beeing sworne by the Clerke of the Councell saith that hee and divers others coming a shoare on the fifth of this present at the Skerries within ten miles of this Cittie one called father Malone with many accompanying of him laid hands vppon this Examinant and the rest and stripped them of all they had and likewise entered into the shipp and there rifled and tooke away what was there which <G> beeing don the said Malone sent this Examinant and the other passengers by a Warrant vnder his hand from Constable vnto Constable to Roger Moore Collonell in the Armie According vnto the Warrant of the said Malone the examinant beeing brought before Mr Roger Moore who after some while lett the Examinant and the rest <H:> free and at large The Examinant further saith that at the same place and time there was present at the Church of Duleeke in Consultation sundry of the Lords of the Pale namely the Lo: of Gormanstowne the Lo: Nettervill the Lord of Slane the Lo: Lowth the Lord of Iveagh the rest were vnknowne vnto the Examinant
