The Examination of Nicholas Ardaghe taken by me the day aforesaid by vertue of the aforesaid order
<D> the said Examinant saith that meetinge with mathew Tillinge the 12th day of this present January the said Mathew toulde him that one Robert Warrell clerke had charged him with beinge amongst the rebells & that therevpon he did offer vnto the said Worrell to goe with him before the right honorable t{he ea}rle of ormond to answar such matters as he woulde charge him with and that the said worrell did then replie that the Earle of ormond was not the man which the people tooke him to be for that he kept a company of troupers <E> who were all rebells and desired this Examinant to vse the meanes wherby the Earle of Ormond might be made acquainted with the speakinge of the said wordes which this Examinant promised to doe And saith that within two houres after he mett with Capteyne Bagnall & beinge to parte with him the said Capteyne desired him to drinke a pinte of wyne with him to which this Examinant assented and beinge togeather in the tauerne with one other in
