The Examination of Danyell Conway taken theday of Aprill 1643 Before mee Sir Robert Meredith knight Chancellor of his Maiestie Court of Exchequer & one of his Maiesties Justices of the Peace for the Countie of Dublin By direction of the right honnorable the Lords Justices & Councell
Who beeing sworne and Examined saith that vpon the 8th of this present hee this Examinant with others vnder the command of Captaine Pollard beeing in search of the said Rebells did about a Mile beyond Mallahederd discouer about fforty of the Rebells horse in one body whom his said Captaine & Troope made towards wherevpon they the said Rebells fled in two seuerall parties the one of which we nt towards Luttrestowne whom hee this Examinant with others pursued And this Examinant beeing very neare vnto two of the said Rebells one of them forsooke his horse and escaped into the wood & the other forsakeing his horse likewise gat into the Gate of the said Mr Luttrells house which Gate was presently shutt vpp and entrance denied vnto him this Examinant
