The Examinacion of Peter Clayton of the Cittie of Dublin gentleman taken before mee by vertue of the Lords Justices warrant this xj th xiiijth day of November 1642 concerning some words to be spoken to the said Peter Clayton by the Lo: Costella & Gullen at Yorke.
The said Peter Clayton saith that in August Last he being at Yorke and ready to come from thence towards Ireland The said Lord Viscount Costella desired him this deponent (in the hearing of divers others) that he would doe him the favour to remember his service & best respects in the first place to that noble Lord my Lord of Ormond, and in the second place to my Lord Lambert, and in the third place to my Lord Dillon and for the rest he said, he did not care for; but hopd to see some of their heads ere it were longe; or words to this effect, and this is all this deponent did heare or can declare concerning the same.
