The examjnacion of Andrew Hea le Heatly Master of the ship called the Good fortune taken before Sir John Temple Knight Master of the Rolls etc the 26th day of July 1642 by direccion of the right honorable the Lords Justices
<k> Who beeing swore and examjned saieth that Who sayth that about a month since on the 21 of June hee this examjnant was at Henbound in Brittany And beeing there with his Merchant there came one into their Company who shewed them a lettre from the Court of france And that the contents of the said lettre to the examjnants best remembrance was that they intended to assist the Irish with six thousand men which they resolved to send from the ports of St Mallace Brest Portlewis <l> Rochell and Burges together with twelve thousand muskets and threescore thousand waight of poulder And that there were at that present at Nanse two men of warr putting to sea to take off his Majesties subjects English or Scots such as they c ould meete with all what they c ould And hee further saith that the said poulder and <m> Muskets were to bee landed at any Port in Ireland excepting Dublin Drogheda Yoghall and Kinsale for that they thought all other Ports free And
