<z> Thomas Townly a soldier of the foote company comanded by Sir Thomas Rotheram Knight beeing sworne at the Board saith that the last night the [ ] examinant stood sentinell on the northwest towre of Dublin castle and saith that about between 8 and 9 of the clock the last night there were some of the prisoners who stand comitted to his majesties said castle walking in the said tow r e <a> in the walk betweene that towre and the towre over the bridge [towne ] , to the number of about 20 of them, and saith that three of the said prisoners walked together aparte from the rest, And saith that there beeing then an allarme given in the Citty or suburbs of Dublin, the said 3 prisoners tooke notice therof, and the examinant <b> then heard one of them say that it was not Vsuall to have allarms in the Cittie whervnto an other of those 3 prisoners answerd and said that hee wished hee had a barrell of tarr that hee might therwith make the allarme the greater, and [ the oth ] another of the said three prisoners answered that hee wished hee had
