The examjnacion of Allan Cooke doctor of the lawes etc taken vppon oath at the Board
<w> The said doctor Cooke saith that the lo Archbishop of Dublin having about 5 or 6 weekes sithence given direccion to the examinant to drawe vpp articles against doctor Harding concerning a seditious sermon preached by him, wherin hee moved the people to joine in some Covenant and the examinant having <x> much about that time had speeche with Baron Hilton concerning the same the said Baron Hilton then tould the examinant that doctor Bote had been with him the said Baron Hilton and had speeche with <y> him concerning such a Covenant, about whether the said and offered to the said Baron Hilton then tould the examinant that Doctor Bote had shewed a writing to that purpose to b e e signed him the said Covenant or not the examinant
