The examjnacion of Jonathan [Paly] Palye [to ] of Dublin [ ] a seller of hott=waters taken at the Board the 12 of febr 1645
<w> The said Jonathan Palye saith that on tuisday last hee [ ] tooke boate at Lowsy=hill in a boate belonging to Leonard Graves of Dublin seaman with Leonard Gra y Graves Thomas Lowe Jeremy Smith and an ould man named shepard and the examinant went then to the shipp Called the Nicholas comanded by Capten Bray now riding in the bay of Dublin, and the said Graves and the said other persons & the examinant then went aboard the said shipp with intencion o n the examinant to trucke for some [ ] a parcell of Tobaccoe which he heard [ ] was to bee sould in the said shipp, Hee saith hee <x> knoweth of noe provisions carryed to that or any other of the shipps now in the bay of Dublin, only there was carried in the boate wherein the examinant went a bagg of turnipps, nor doth hee knowe of any letters or messages sent to or from the said shipp or any other of the said shipps, hee saith that hee had no licence to goe to any of the said shipps
