The Examinacion of Richard Eustace of taken the day and yeare aforesaid.
<o> Who being examined and duely sworne to so much as concerneth others sayeth that James Eustace owner of the house of Clongowes wood left Clongowes wood about seauen or eight weekes agone and went downe to the County of Catherlogh to his wifes freinds hauing married a daughter of Morris mc Brien Keuanagh, and at his going away committed not the charge of the Castle of Clongowes wood to him this examinate but unto Roger Barnewall, and saieth that the powder which was sent to them by James Eustace, was sent either from Kilkenny or Galloway or wexford he knowes not whether He dnieth to haue had any hand in the robborie of ffrancis Cardinall but confesseth that it was done by some of the souldiers of the Castle b and brought the goods brought into the Castle but against the will of the examinate, in all other thinges he agreeth with the precontents precontests,
