Nicholas o kenaght late of the naas husbandaman being sworne and examined before by mee william Hilton one of the Barrons of his Maiesties cowrt of exchequer saieth the sixt day of July 1642 saith <p> that he hath beene in the company of Thomas owgan of the downings in the county of kildare gentleman sonn to william owgan of the downings aforesayd (whoe is and hath beene in actuall rebellion) for the space of five weeks before the taking of the Castle of of Rathcoffy, butt much against his will being forced thereto by the sayd Thomas and that during that tyme. he saw the sayd Thomas sundry tymes going to Morrice fitz gerralds towne of Allan Allan. where the sayd Thomas father and mother were, butt whether the sayd Thomas saw the saied morrice or not, or whether the sayd Morrice did any wayes releeve him he knoweth not
