The Examination of John Gratrakes taken the 20th daie of June 1642 Before mee Chancellor of his Maiesties Court of Exchequer By direction of the right honnorable the Lords Justices of Councell.
Who beeing sworne and Examined saith that about a fortnight before the present Rebellion hee this Examinant went into Killmullin in the Countie of Meath with one Peeter Hussey who had married this Examinants wifes sister And this Examinant soone after falling sick in the said house of Killmullin, & the rebellion beeing spread into the said Countie of Meath hee this Examinant vnderstood by sundry of the servants & children of the said house that Hugh Birne and Roger Moore two Collonells among the Rebells were att two seuerall nights enterteyned and lodged in the said house by the said Mr Hussey & his wife.
