John Dale of Ballyfoyle in the Queenes Countie being duly sworne deposeth and saith that by credible report Sir John Bowen k of Ballyadam in the said Countie did harbour Rebells And that Thomas Ovington of Tankerstowne high Sheriffe of the said County Roberte Harpole of Shroule Esquire John Ovington the sonne of Thomas Ovington and John the sonne of James are also harborers and retoyners of Rebells, and the sonne of Margarett Ovington is in rebellion, And further saith that he this deponent was robbed and dispoyled by the rebells of the goods and chattells followinge vizt of Corne worth CC li. which was taken away by John Ovington of Killen in the Queens Countie and Margaret his wife of Corne in the ground & other goods worth CCCC lxxiiij li. worth Cl li. of Sheepe worth xl li. of horses worth worth xxi i ij li. of Cowes worth x li. In a lease as he was proffered CCl li. And further deposeth that it is reported that 2 English men were hanged in Thomas Ovingtons howse which he said Thomas protected promissed to protect
