Alonder Vsher of Tarmanfeghin in the Countie of Louth Clerke adged fortie eight yeares or thereabouts being duely sworne & examined by virtue of his Oath deposeth & Saith that hee this deponent Mr Edward St Lawrence & Richard Randall returning from Dublin or thereabouts & travilling towards Tarmanfeghin aforesaid being the habitacion of this examinate St Lawrence & Randall, were mett neere the Bridge of Turvey Comonly caled the Nyne Streames, by Six Toryes, that is to say, Patrick Dempsie, ffrancis Murphie, George wafer, Thomas Ne Muck, Gerard [ ] Moore alias caled Gare, & Shane mc Edoule, being theire respective names, as this examinate was Crediblie informed by Edward wile who was appoynted keeper of this deponent being by them brought Prisoner in the nature of a Prisoner vnto him, to a place caled Nevitt neere the Hills of Hollywood. And this deponent saith, that being soe mett with as aforesaid, they the said Torryes commaunded this examinante & the said Edward St Lawrence [ ] to a light of our their horses (which being in feare wee did) & then caused this examinante, & the said St Lawrence, to mounte on two of theire worst horses. & then ledd vs them out of all high or Comon wayes vnto halfe a Myle distant from the said Bridge or thereabouts & then ledd vs them by an high ditch of ffurze where they the said Toryes caused this deponent & the said St Lawrence to dismounte & directed or advised the m to kneele, they with an vnanimous Consent sayinge that they would Kill vs. except one ffrancis Murphie who seemed

who seemed to pleade to avoyde shedding innocent Blood. wherevppon they the said Torys Comaunded the said Edward St Lawrence to a place somewhat distant from the place hee was on his knees & there stript him to his Shirt & Draers, the said Thomas before haveing taken off his head, a New Castor Hatt which the said St Lawrence hadd & clapt on him an ould Cullord Hatt in lew thereof . And being soe stript as aforesaid, this deponent saith that the foresaid Thomas Ne muck was mounted on a whyte Cullard Gelding or Horse who & was neare & nigh present dureing the tyme the said Edward St Lawrence was a Murthering without giveing any opposicion to the Murtheror. Att which tyme the said Edward St Lawrence dyed & there were was left with his Bowells out vnburyed. And further deposeth not.
