The humble petticion of John Talbott
To the right honourable the high Courte of Justice
Most humbly beggeth that your honours will be pleased to take the subsequent heades of the Articles of Kilkenie, whereon your petticioner submitted, & the promise for Articles in the end of the qualifications into your honours consideracions, whereby your petticioner humbly conceiueth hee is freed
And your peticioner will pray
<Imprimis> It appeered by the honourable Collonell Hewsons testimonie that your petticioner was a prisoner, and giuen in in his officers list according the 8 and 9 Article
<Secondly> The clause in the seuenth Article viz (or any murders or massacares sence the said first yeare committed by or vppon anie person not in armes) hee humbly conceiueth frees him, The man he is charged for beeing in armes and Currin and Greig in whose companie he was weare but a uerie little before in pay vnder the Commaund of Sir Robert Nucume and Maior Donbarr
<Item> The resolues of the Counsell of warr at kilkeny of the 9 of May 1652 deliuered vnto the Commissioners for the Irish there, as an Explanacion of murders doth free your petticioner tourne

there beeing nothinge therein contained that recheth vnto him
<Lastly> The prouiso in the end of the qualifications for such as haue submitted on Articles taketh away the said qualifications that may rech in anie kind vnto your petticioner (for the killing of a man not inlisted) his Articles as afforsaid warranting him.
