The Examinacion of Donell o Byrne of Possickstowne in the County of Kildare gent taken before Sir Edward Bolton knight and Thomas Dongan Esquire Justices of the Peace within the Countyes of Dublin Kildare and wickloe the xxijth day of July 1652
Whoe being duely sworne and examined sayth that he did know Cahill o Cullen late of Ballnironyn in the County of wickloe <A> gent and there about a yeare now past he was present at Killdallagh in the sayd County of wickloe where the sayd Cahill was brought before Luke Toole and Edmond Reyly the vicar generall and that at that tyme the sayd Cahill did desire the sayd Luke to sett him vpon bonds to appeare before him when he should appoynt or that he would proceed against him then according to Justice to which the sayd Edmond Reyly made answere that he should have Justice and therevpon the sayd Luke Toole and the said Reyly went a litle asyde and had conference together but what they then sayd this examinant knoweth not And this examinant sayth that without any examinacion taken or wittnesses examined against the sayd Cahill he was presently after the sayd conference Committed to prison And the next morning after he this examinant heard that the sayd Cahill was hangd, And he further deposeth not
