The Examinacion of Ann Grace wife to Edmond Grace of the Graige in the County of Kilken{ny} aged 60ty yeares or therabouts taken befor vs the xvijth day of August 1652
The said examinant sworne & examined saith, that she is of english extraccon & was born in London & hath lyved in this nation 35 years or therabouts that her first settlement was in Graige aforsaid wher she hath since continued (vnles vpon accidentall removally by reason of the Rebellio{n} <A> And further saith that she did well know John Stone who lyved in Graige afor e said that by profession he was a Carpenter & kept his a Mill ther of honest repute; And further saith that about the muc h monath of May Anno 1642 ther came diuers of James Butler of Tynihinich his servants whoe he then putt army in the night tyme vnto the towne of Graige and ther entred into the howse of John Stone, and then & ther seised vpon the said John Stone, his wife & his man John, as alsoe Joseph Valentyne sonne in law to the said John Stone: together with Thomas White a merchant & his wife daughter to the said John Stone, Walter Sherley, & Mris Joan Salter, and from thence carried them ouer the bridge of the Graige aforesaid pretending to carry them to duncannon; Being demaunded what became of the said English afterwards she she that saith shee saw George the Corps of Joseph Valentyne & Walter Sherlow brought back the next day into the said towne of Graige by their wiues & vizt Katheryne Bolger now wife to Edmond Slater of the Graige, & Sarah Bolger now wife to John ffrannce living in Waterford as for the rest she heard that they were murthered but by whom she knoweth not, vnles it was by the said James Butler his servants:
Being demaunded what estate the said John Stone left att the tyme of his execucion she saith or who entred thervpon after his death shee saith that his estate was not considerable, and <B> that Lawrence Knowles & his sonne in law James Murphy entred into the said howse by the landlords appointment who was Sir Edward Butler as she believeth:
Being further demaunded what was were the names of those servants of James Butler that perpetrated the murther of the aforemencioned <C> parties shee saith Dermott o Dohoghden of Tynihinch, Garratt fforstall of Tynihinich, or Knockyn: Gibbon fforstall & Donagh o Bane of Pirahom
Being demaunded who then lyved in Tynihinich, she saith that James Butler, Walter Bagnall, & Edmond Butler sonne to Lord Mountgarratt who [ ] together;
Being demaunded whither she doth know, or hath heard that ther was any difference betwixt Walter Bagnall & William Stone befor the breaking out of the Rebellion, she saith, that she heard that Walt{er} <D> Bagnall comitted imprisoned the said William Stone to prison & ther kept him vntill his ffather went to procure his releasment:
Being demaunded what afterwards became of the said William Stone, she saith that she heard that diuers of James Butlers people did fetch the said William (about the same tyme) his ffather was slayne) from the place wher he was working att vpon a shipp then building nere the Rower, & brought him towards Tinihinich & was hanged with a muskett shott of Tynihinich

Being deman questioned what other murthers she did know, or heard that was done att Graige aforesaid, she saith she heard that after the battle of Ross, she heard ther was an man he English man hanged att Tynihinich but by whose orders she knoweth not /
