<A> The Examination of Joan Brenan alias Ronan of Ardrigh in Idough aged 40 yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath
The said Examinant being duely examined saith that she heard that there were two Englishmen murthered in Idough by n in the begining of the Rebellion by name Lewes Brenan Dauis & William Streaton and that James mc William o Brenan now [ ]re restraint murthered the said Lewes as she heard, and who plunder murthered William Streaton she knoweth not. and further saith that William Mathewes was plundered of all his goods in the begining of the Rebellion by the Rebells but their names in perticuler she knoweth not, but saith that her husband fetched away some of the said Matthewes his goods horses in night time from Tho: Butler of Cooleneline who tooke away the same, and that her husband brought the said horses to the said Matthewes to Ballynikill and further saith that he heard it comonly reported that Thomas Euers of Cloghmolin and his sonns were at the plundering of the said Matthews his goods. and further saith not.
