The Examination of Teig mc Edmond Brenan of Cloghfooke <B>aged 74 yeares or thereabouts
The said Examinante being duely examined saith that he liued th at Loan vntill he was dispossed thereout by the Master of the Roalls and then liued at Croghtie Cluffe, where he liued in the begining of the Rebellion, and saith that he had noe Comaund and being demaunded whether he was at the siege of Ballynikill Castlecomer, saith that he was not, and being demaunded who was then at the said siege he saith that Lewes Brenan, R of Crocansunagh, Richard Butler of Culnelinie and others, and being demaunded who kild the Englishwoeman neere the gate of Castlecomer, and who stormed the Church he saith that he knoweth not nor who hanged the three boyes, but that he heard that one Lewes Brenan fitz William kild one boy of, and further saith that he knew Mr Parkeson of Castlecomer and further saith not
