The Examinacion of Oliuer Jacob taken before vs the fift of December 1653. vpon a Commission to us directed from the honorable the Commissioners of high Court of Justice att Dublin concerninge the Murther of lieutenant Abraham Walker, and lieutenant Troy.
This Examinant being duelie sworne and Examined vpon the holly Euangelists, saieth that he was made Cornett to Lewes Collonell Lewes Moores troope in februar <A> =rie before the Citty of Kilkeney was taken by the Lord Generall Cromwell being in the yeare 1649. This examinant being examined about the murther of Lt Walker and Lt Troy aforesaid, saieth that he heard that they were murthered vpon Derrygoran land betwixt Marjborough and Shyane, by Teige Dowlinge and others, his cause of knowledge is that he sawe the said Teige Dowling in Collonell Moores troope, whereof he was Cornett himselfe, and the said Teige Dowlinge wore a sword about him, which this examinant was tould by his fellowtrooper, was Abraham Walkers sword, This examinant further saieth, that he heard Collonell Lewes moore tell him and others that the Lord of Ormond or Castlehauen writt him a threatninge letter, requireing him to fynde out the murtherers of the said Walker and Troy, and eyther to execute them, himselfe or send them unto him to be execute d or that he would [ ] against himselfe for that murther. The said Examinant, being further asked, what became of the goods of the said walker and Troy, saieth that he knowes not, onely saieth that he saw a grey nagg reported to be of the said Walker goods in the possession of Collonell Lewes Moore, the next sommer after the said murther was committed.

The Examinacion of John Dowlinge
<b> This examinant being duelie sworne vpon the Euangelists, saieth that soone after the murther of Lieutenant Abraham Walker and Lt Troy, he came into Marjburrough, and heard that the said murther was committed, by Teige Dowlinge, John Hardinge and others, and being asked what became of the good of the said walker and Troy, saieth that he knowes not, onely of one grey ambling nagg, of the said Walkers, as this Examinant heard, which was possessed by Collonell Moore, and bought from John Dowlings, as the deponent likewise heard, And further saieth not

The Examinacion of Lieutenant James Bambricke concerninge the murther of Lt Abraham walker and Lt Troy
<C> This examinant, being duelie sworne vppon the Euangelists, and examined, saieth that he knew as well Lt Abraham Walker, as Lt Troy, and that he himselfe was Lieutenant to Collonel Lewes Moore, when they were murthered by Teige Dowlinge, John Hardinge and others, which Teige Dowlinge was then souldior in Collonel Lewes Moores troope, whereof he was Lieutenant himselfe, And further saieth that in a good while after the murther was committed, this Examinant, seeing Collonel Lewes Moores rideing vpon a grey gealdinge, asked him how he came by that gealdinge The

The Collonel answeared that he bought the <D> gealdinge from a gentleman in the Com of Kilkeney, And this Examinant heard it reported that the said gealdinge did belonge to Lt Abraham Walker as aforesaid murthered, And further saieth not.
