Thexamynation of Jane Lawlor, spinster, formerly servant to George fizGearld of Ciggins towne in the County of Killdare, & now of Cigginstowne afforesaid, taken before mee Dl. Huchson Alderman, one of the Justisses of the Peace for the Com Province of Leinster, this 1o xber 1652.
The sayd Jane beeinge duly sworne <A> & examyned saith that shee knew Mary bux, who was servant to the sayd George (to Gether with this examinant, in the beginge of the Rebbellyon. (& this examinant sayth that shee was in the house with mrs fiz Gerald wyfe to the sayd George, when one Ambrose Conorr, who now as shee heers is in prisson did Come to the said house with two men more, (which since are kild or ded) <B> And the sayd Ambrose did lay hould on the said Mary Bux & the other two helpinge him they drew her out of the house, & as hee & they drew her hee they drew her through the fyer & soe

huled the sayd Mary along with them, all though the saud mrs fiz Gearald did Cry vnto them & prayd them for Christs sake to lett her alone yet they tooke her quyt a way, to a wood that was not ffarr off As this examinant did heer, & theare they kild the said mary as this examinant veryly beleeues & as the voce of the neighbors was & that the dead body of the sayd mary was Cast into a bogg pitt, & furthr sayth not,
