Thexamynation of Mary the wyfe of George ffiz Gearald now of Ciggins towne neer nase in the County of Killdare Gent the 1o xbr 1652, taken before mee Daniell Huchinson mayor of Dublin, one of the Justisses of the peace for the province of Leinster,
The sayd Mary beeinge duly sworne & <A> examyned sayth, That in or about may 1642, one Ambros Conor now in prisson in Dublin (with marshall peake) did Come <to drumkrigh, in the said County> Into the house of the sayd George (hee not beeinge at home) & with him thear weare 2 men more all armd with Skenes halfe piyke &c. and the sayd Ambrose tooke hould of a servant mayd of this examinant, & this examinant did (viz mary bux whoe was of Einglish parents, but Could speake Irish, & this examinant did lay hould on the said servant, & Cryed out to the said Ambrose to lett the mayd alone but hee not withstanding did pluck

pluck the sayd mary bux from this examinant, & Cruelly did drawe her Through a fyer that was in the <B> midst of the house, and after wards tooke her to a wood that was hard by (as this examinant heard by some of the neighbors) that the said mayd servant was kild, & that her body was Cast in to a bog pitt & this [ ] examinant sayth shee did send out to Enquire what was became of the sayd mayd, & those that shee sent, brought back notiss to this examinant that shee was kild & done by as afforesayd. & further sayth not,
