The examinacion of Margarett Staples of Dublin Spinster aged Eight & twenty yeares or thereabouts servant of James Read of Cornemarkett in Dublin sworne sayeth
<G> That shee was att Carbree present when John Browne was putt to death, beinge about 3 since the last Christmas or thereabouts, and was then servant to mrs Barnwell mother of the said John Browne, and sawe the said Browne shott, & she sayeth that the souldior of Carbree Castle tould her, that he was shott to death by order from their Captain, Captaine Cooly then Governor there, for that he the said Browne (as they tould her) was to betraye the said Castle to Captain Pakenham And further shee sayeth not.
