The examynation of Jo: Pincent Gentleman, (taken the 4th day of september 1652) beeinge duly sworne vpon the holy Evangilists,
the sayd examinant deposeth & sayth that hee knows Hugh Conor Alias Hugh mc David, & did hath know him Euer since before the Rebbeliyon in Ireland, and that the sayd Hugh was Reported, by very many, to haue beein actiue in the Rebbellyon against the Einglish in the first halfe yeer of the Rebbellyon that the said Hugh kept in a Castle Caled dery brook Castle, which is about 5 myles from athye neer the way that Leads to marybrough, & that hee had theare with him severall other Rebbells & thearby the way was very dangerous: this examinant further deposeth that hee beeinge in athye about february 1641, he sawe one John Taylor lye Langwishinge who was wounded by the sayd Hugh Conor (as the sayd Taylor himselfe did tell

Tell this examinant & many others, in athye afore sayd) & this examinant <B> sawe the wounds that was in the hed & Back of the said Taylor, & further sayth that the said Taylor within about a weeke after he was soe wounded dyed of those wounds: which hee sayd the Hugh Gaue him, neer vnto atheye afforesaid This examinant furthr sayth that hee hath heard of sevrall Euill acts done by the said Hugh Conor in the beginge of the Rebbelyon or in the first yeer, the particulors hee doth not now soe fully Remember
