The Examination of Shane leagh Conner of Mylerstowne, taken beefore mee the 8th day of ffebr: 1652
who beeinge duely sworne vpon the holy Euangelist and examined saith, that about Michaelmas was twelue month hee liued att Castletowne in the Kinges Countie, vnder Mr Donogh Connor, and that about that tyme one John Connor, brother vnto the said donogh, killed one Connogher Merginn in the streete of the sayed towne, and immediately fledd, butt was prosecuted by seuerall of the Irish (ffrends vnto the said Connoghor) <A> and was taken by them, and Carried vnto Inchloghcore vnto grace. And that about a month or fiue weekes after hee was released. that from that time hee liued with one Captayne terrence Connor, with whom hee went for Spayne. that hee neuer knew that the said donogh Connor, supplyed his said brother with any money for his Jorney into Spayne, or that euer hee (this examinate) had any discourse with the lady bourke Concerninge the said Murther, and further deposeth not
