The examjnacion of Katherin Taylor of ffinglas in the County of Dublin widdow now liueing with George Rutledge in the said Towne taken the xxiiijth day of ffebr 1653
Who beeing duely sworne and examjned deposeth and saith that in next the next somer after the Rebellion in Ireland the examjnant then liueing at Roseberry in the County of Killdare, one William Harrold of Roseberry who was then imployed by Patricke Sarsfeild to ouersee the Corne of the widdow weldon in Roseberry did lodge and diett in the examjnants house at Roseberry, Shee saith <A> that at the tyme aforesaid the said William Harrold and and the examjnants husband Rowland Taylor lately deceased beeing one day late abroad vntill evening and the said Wiliam Harrold and the examjnants said late husband comeing in the examjnant asked the said William Harrold where hee had beene, who answeared, what was that to her, hee had since beene killing of a boy, the examjnant replying that was not well, the said William Harold said it that was noe hurt matter, hee the said boy was a spy (meaneing as the examjnant conceaues a spy to the English,) The examjnant

examjnant further saith that [ ] immediatly after the said William Harrold sitting downe to <B> supper and draweing out his small skeane, said this skeane had lately mans blood vppon it, wherevppon the examjnant said the beeing frightened said vnto the said William Harrold that shee would eate none of the meate that that [ ] skeane should cutt, shee saith that the said William Harrold did tell the examjnant that hee stabbed the said boy in the throate with his said skeane and killed him, The examjnant further saith that this day haueing repayred to the Marshallseies where shee there saw the said William Harrold mencioned in this her examjnacion and that hee is the same William Harrold who tould her that hee had comitted the murther aforesaid, And further saith not,
