Ma Mallow March the 9o 1653
Deposicions taken Concerninge John รด Carroll of the Lipp in the Barrony of Ballybritt Kinges County and province of Lenster in the yeare 1641:
Richard Blackwell of Moyalloe Aged fforty yeares being Duly Sworne and Examined saith that hee liued at the Gurtynes in the y aforesaid Barrony County and Province, in the yeare aforesaid, &c.
That hee Knew the said Carroll, to be in Actuall Armes in the yeare aforesaid, against the English,
The Deponents Cause of Knowledge is that, hee saw the said Carroll come with a party of Armed men to a place Called Newtowne in the aforesaid Barrony, where they plundered one Greene an English men & severall other English that liued there
