<B> James Darcie a serv another servant to the Lord Clonmalery
Vppon oath saith at the tyme aforesaid hee was sent in Companie with Michael Strong & others to Maryborough by the Lord Clonmalery to see what they went by fireing the towne. And that without the gate hee heard Edward Dunne swear to the soldiers that had a prisoner that they should not bring him to the Lord of Clonmalery saying that h ee the said Lord would not spill his bloud. And the deponent heard that the said prisoner was after killed there but whether by the said Dunne or no this deponent knoweth not: & this examinant told the said Lord of Edwards words: and saith it was at midnight, & that hee went along together with Michael Strong only the said Strong was some small space betweene them, & saith hee met the said Dun about the Length of the Church from the gate; & saith that hee knew the said Dunne ever since hee was a child & that Edward Dun came not to the Lo. till they wer going {away}
