Thexaminacion of Henry Higley of Cookstreet Dublin in Colonell Husons Troope Aged ffower & twentye yeares being duely sworne sayeth
That beinge in company of Corporall Andrew Harvye about the third of this instant January instant in the Garison of Garistowne; the said Corporall comanded him to ride out with him; and he further sayeth that att Creekstowne they tooke one Patrick Russh and Richard Dignan whoe confessed to the said Corporall & this deponent that they tog i ther with one Tege Malloy Pa t rick Goch & one Ty r rell were att the takinge formerly of one Phillipp Carr an Englishman tog i ther with one Teig Molloy Patrick Cahan Goch & one Tirrell as the said Carr was goeing from Manooth to Balsoone about Maye last and that [ ] afterwards the said Patrick Russh & Richard Dignan went towards Tecroghan to with intent to send in there to the Garison to demand an exchange from y or a ransom for the said Carr, and that before their retorne back againe to the other three Malloy Goch and Tyrrell, the said Molloy Goch & Tyrrell had murthered the said Carr (as they said) without their consent & or privity: And further the said Richard Dignan did confesse that the cloathes & hatt he then wore were the cloathes, & hatt of the said Carr, & that he had bought them of the other three for one and thirty shillings, whereof he had never there was paid six shillings, and further this deponent sayeth not
