The Examinacion of Connor Magiver of Cookstowne in the County of Meath Cottier aged 30 yeares or thereaboutes being duely sworne & Examined before vs at Trym this 14th of March 1653 being Justices of peace concerning murther & masacres in Meath &c.
By vertue of his Oath, the Deponent saith, That hee heard it reported by one Captaine Hugh รด <A> Rely de ceased That Cohonaght o Gowen now prisoner in Trym, did kill an English woman the wife of John Hovy of Crumlin in the County of Cavan the first winter of the Warrs, some where neere Drohedah; & for ought this Examinant knoweth, the said wife of John Hovy is still st Living. And further hee knoweth not.
