The Examinacion of Shane O Gowen taken before vs this 14th of March 1653
The said Examinant being duely sworne & examined vppon his oath saith that on Saturday last was seauen night he was in the Company of Phyllip Brady <A> & fferrall McMooney in the towne of Trym when & wheare he heard the said Mooney advised in the presence & heareing of the said Brady did advise this examinant then to goe vnto one Cohonaght o Gowan then pryssoner in Trym And to tell him that if he would Certyfy contrary vnder his hand, vnto what he had testyfyed in the behalfe of John ffearne against one, Owen McDaniell Groome Brady: now pryssoner at Dublin that then they would forbeare to prosecute the said examinant Cohonaght o Gowen for the murther which they had chardged him with by which wourd (they) <B> the examined did vnderstand that the said Mooney did meane the said Phyllip Brady & himselfe And further he saith not
