The Informacion of Edmond Dyllon concerninge the Murtheringe of Henry Dyllon for and on the behalfe of the Common Wealth taken the Seacond Day of May 1653
The deponent Sayth that Sixe yeare agoe or thereabouts Henrry Dyllon of Clancullyn In the County of Westmeath and ffrancis Sarsfeild Brotherlaw to the Said Henry Dyllon came to this Deponents <A> ffathers house then Liueinge att Killkenney west In the County aforesaid att which house the said Thomas Dyllon ffitz: Talbott was then there present allsoe and Sayth that when this Deponents ffather Sawe the Said Henry Dyllon hee badd him wellcome and the Said Henry Dyllon and Thomas ffrancis Sarsfeild comeinge through the Roome where the Said Thomas Dyllon fittz: Talbott was the Said Henry Dyllon Seeinge the Said fitz: Tabbott there the Said Henry told this Deponents father that hee would not Stay In the Roome where the Said fitz: Talbott was then In and Soe went Into Another Roome his Brotherly ffrancis Sarsfeild Stayinge beehind Discoursinge and with the Said fitz Talbott and Discourseinge together, Some ill words passinge betweene them this Deponent Sayth That the Said Sarsfeild gaue the Said fitz Talbott the Lye and vpon that the Said Talbott gaue the Said Henry Dyllon Sarsfeild A boxe or twoe Soe that the Said Sarsfeild layd hand vpon his owne Sword Which the Said Talbott perceiueinge did close with the Said Sarsfeild and with A Short Skeene wounde{d} the Said Sarsfeild In the Brest vpone which the Maid of the house rann to the

and tould the Said Henry Dyllon that the Said Talbott had wounded his Brotherlaw Sarsfeild vpon that the Said Henry Dyllon ymmediately drewe his Sword and went Into the Roome where the Said fitz Talbott was the Said Talbott seeinge <B> the Said Henry Dyllon come with his Sword dr drawne the Said Talbott did likewise drawe and then and there the Said Henry did Stricke fiue or Sixe blowes att the Said Talbott which Blowes the Said Talbott Receued and att last Strooke att the Said Henry Dyllon and Cutt him Into the head And this deponent sayth that the Said Henry Dyllon wa was Carried hoome and within A weeke died of the aforesaid wound And further this deponent Cannot depose but only Sayth that the Reason of his knowledge is beecause hee was there present In his ffathers house and heard and did See all this which hee hath deposed
