The Informacon of Evelyn Dyllon of Kilkenney West in the County of Westmeath for and on the beehalfe of the Common Wealth tak Conserninge the Murtheringe of Henry Dyllon taken beefore this 2d of May 1653
This deponent Sayth that to the best of her remembrance about Candlemas was Eight Yeares Henry Dyllone of Clancullyn In the County of Westmeath ffrancis <A> Sarsfeild and Bartholomew Sarsfeild Brotherlawe to the Said Henry Dyllon came to this Deponents house then Liueinge att Killkenney West In the County aforesaid att whose house the Said Thomas Dyllon fitz: Talbott was there allsoe And Sayth that this Deponents husband did See the Said Henry Dyllon hee ledd him through the Roome where the Said Thomas Dyllon fitz: Talbott was vnto the further End of the house the Said Sarsfeilde Stayinge and Discoursinge with the Thomas Dyllon fitz: Talbott Some words passinge betweene them the Said ffrancis Sarsfeild gaue the Said Thomas Dyllon fitz: Talbott the Lye vpon which the Said Thomas Dyllon gaue the Said ffrancis Dyllon Sarsfeild A Boxe or twoe on the yeare which caused the Sarsfeild to Lay hand vpon his Sword Soe that the Said Thomas Dyllon fitz: Talbott did Close with the Said Sarsfeild and with A short Skene wounded the Said Sarsfeild In the brest Soe that the blood Runinge Downe and the Maid Servant perceiuinge it rann vnto Henry Dyllon and told him that his Brotherlawe Sarsfeild was Hurted by the Said Thomas Dyllon whoe ymmediately Drewe his Sword and rann Soe Drawne with it Into the Roome where the Said Thomas Dyllon fitz: Talbott was the said Dyllon perceiuing the Said Henry Comeinge did allsoe Drawe Soe

that the Said Henry Dyllon and Barthlomew Sarsfeild booth drewe vpon the Said Thomas Dyllon the Said Henry Dyllon and Bartholomew Sarsfeild were booth Strickeinge att the said Thomas fitz Dyllon fitz: Talbott and this Deponent Sayth that the Said Thomas Dyllon fitz Talbott wounded and Cutt the Said Henry Dyllon on the head which Said Henry was afterwards Carried hoome and within foure daies Died of the Same wound and beeinge demanded the reason of her Knowledge Shee Sayth that the Murther was Comitted In her house and that shee her selfe & was then present And further Shee cannot depose.
