Martha Gun the third Examinant being further duelye examined vppon her oath sayth that to her best remembrance shee sawe <A> Bartholomew Nangle was in his owne house and about his owne dore, at the tyme shee was there being herselfe and her mother come out of the Castle, And further sayth that shee heard and saw Mr Thomas Allein at his comming wounded into the said house desire wounded desire beere to refresh himselfe which was denied him by

the people of the house but whether it in the hearing of the said Bartholomew and his wife, or either, or which <C> of them shee remembreth not, but sayth that the said Nangles wife seemed much to reioyce at the bloody worke of that day, by her carriage and behavior, And being demanded whether shee <C> saw ffaghny mc lisagh or James mc Gerald fferrall that day, or at any other tyme in Armes there during the seig, or the said Batholomew Nangle, shee answeareth all in the negatiue, saue only that to the best of her remembrance shee once during the seige sawe the said ffaghny mc lisagh fferrall vppon the greene neere the Castle, And further sayth that shee beleiveth that Connor Kenny, Redmond Kenny and one Henry Soare all living in longford can giue further informacion, And further sayth not then in her former Examinacion shee hath said

Georg Gunn of Swords in the County of Dublin Clerke being duely sworne and examined sayth that hee was left the Castle of longford a day before he it was beseiged, but the Enemy were in the Towne, and had once faced the Castle, And saith that during the tyme hee remained there hee saw none of the Enemy or Irish party that hee knew saue onely

<A> Cormocke mc Rosse fferrall, And that hee the said Examinant was never in longford from that day to this soe that hee can say nothing of the seig or murther or massacre there, of his owne knowledge, nor any thing materiall by heresay And further sayth not.

william mc Carmacke servant to the said Mr Geo: Gonne being duely sworne and examined (by his said Master his interpretacion vppon his oath) saith that a little before the tyme the Castle of longford was beseiged hee this Examinant was servant to william mc ffergus fferrall of Ballintober and was lent by his master to one Tirlagh Duff mc Murtogh who hired this Examinant to carry some provision to the Castle of Longford to mr Thomas Trafford who was then in the said Castle which the Examinant did carry accordingly and delivered them to the one that mr Trafford sent to the Castle gate to receive the same And being demanded what Officers or Soldiers hee saw in longford or neere the said Castle the same day hee sayth hee sawe Richard fferrall of Bawne, and <A> lisagh mc Gerald fferrall with swords and pistolls and sawe Batholomew Nangle there, all at Bartholomew Nangle his shop dore but sayth the said Bartholomew had noe weapon about him, and sayth that hee sawe not then any soldiers in the towne nor was ever in longford from that tyme forth till about may following and then passing through the towne with two [hefe?] load of Barke hee saw divers Irish Soldiers there, and further sayth not.
