The further Examinacion of Bartholomew Nangle of Longford Marchant taken this 30th of May 1654.
The said Examinant being duely Sworne & Examined sath that he hath very credibly heard that <A> Rowry & Lysagh mcGerald ffarrall Richard mcConnell ffarrall Connell Cam ffarrall James mcShane ffarrall Donnagh Roe mcTeige ffarrall & Garratt mc Teige ffarrall were all actors in the murthering of the English at Longford and That they are now all of them liveing in the North of Ireland about Castlenedoe in the County of Donegall uppon the Land of mcSwine who married one of the Daughters of ffaughny mcRosse ffarrell deceased and that Magha mcShane ffarrall (whoe was a great adviser of the Rebells then there and had his two Sonnes Shane mcMagha & Garret mcMagha there in Armes) dot{h} now Live with Lievtenant Colonell Christopher Newgent his wife at her Creight in the County of Kildare, but what is become of the said Shane and Garrat mcMagha he knoweth not, but saith he hath alsoe hear{d} that Daniell mcJames ffarrall late of

<B> of Newtown in the County of Longford (whoe was alsoe in Armes during all the Seige at Longford) is now Liveing in Newtowne aforesaid.
The said Examinant further saith that he hath bene verie credibly informed and beleeveth it to be true That Severall other Persons who were actors in the said Siedge & bloody murther are either kild sterved to death or gone for Spaine, as more Particculerly followeth, That is to say
Connock mcRosse ffarrall (called Commander in in Chiefe) kild at Roconell fight, ffaghney mc ffergus (termed Captain) gone for Spaine, John mcKearnan & Morrogh mcEdmond (both termed Captains) gone for Spaine, Roger Nangle (termed Captain) kild in the North, James mcGarret of Korbeigh kild at Roconell John mc Keadagh (termed Captain) Dead in the North, Edmund Oge ffarrall and Patricke Duffe mc Kearnan deade in the Country, Cahill Oge ffarrall (termed Captain) gone to Spaine, William Anclavy dead in the Countrey, John Reinolds and the Hislenans & others which did begin that horrible murther all deade, three yeares since, by famine in the Countrey, as the Examinant hath Credibly heard and further he sath he cannot Depose
