Garratt Caron servant to mr Nathaniell Phillpott of Patrickstreet dublin merchant being further duely examined vppon oath sayth that hee was servant to Bartholomew Nangle of longford Merchant at the tyme of the seige of the Castle there by the Irish in the yeare 1641. And sayth that by common report Hugh mc Richard fferrall now prisoner in the marshalsey dublin was the man that was sent into the Castle <A> of longford to secure the goods of the Castle English that were remaineing in the Castle, after the said English were marched out, And further sayth that to his owne knowledge the said Hugh fferrall was in the Castle as aforesaid, looking to or taking care of the same goods, or at least the said Conocke mc Rosse his share of them, and beleiveth it was by the said Conocke mc Rosse his order, as was generally reported And further sayth not.
