The examinacion of Rich. Whitie aged 55 yeares or thereabouts concerning the aforesaid Tho: fitz Harris.
Who being duely sworne vpon the holy Evangelist saith That the said Tho: fitz Harris about Candlemas 41 came with Armed men in his Company & tooke from this examinants ffarme called Stapelstowne, to the value of ffive & twenty pounds worth of Cattle, & carryed <h> them to Kild Kilkevan ffor noe other reason then that the said Stapelstowne being the Land of The said Tho fitz Harris hee had morgaged the same before the warrs to one ffrancis Talbot a protestant, this examinant demanded back his Cattle & shewed the said Tho: fitz Harris the said Talbots Acquitt for the rent then due to bee paid to him, but hee wold not restore them saying the said Talbot was a protestant & shold nowe haue nothing to doe with his Land
