The Examination of William Stafford Gentleman in behalfe of the Commonwealth take Concerning Nickolas Sutton of Clonard Gentleman
<to the first interro:
& second Interr> Sath that the said Sutton did Liue in the yeare 1641 at Clonard and at all tymes after Continued dwellinge there at Clonard afore said till the Lord Cromwell Came into the Countye of Waxford and then remoued <q> himeselfe and famelye into the Irish Quarters and sath that the said Sutton might haue remoued into the English Quarters as many English did but not without danger
<to the 2 interro> he Can not depose<to the 3 interro> he sath that the said Sutton did in the first yeare of the warr and before the 10th of <r> Nouember 1642 actually Contribut in the then publicke leuies to the Irish forces

5th and 6th interro:> he Can not depose
<to the 7th interro> Sath that he beleiueth the said Sutton did take and subscribe the oath of association <s> it beinge a generall thinge
