Nicholas Stafford of Ballimakeharne esquire aged about forty foure yeares being sworne and examined Concerning the said Thomas Deuereux of the Ring vpon <u> the whole matter of the Interrogatoryes deposeth & saith That the said Thomas dwelt in the said County the whole time of the rebellyon, & did not remooue thence into the english quarters, & saith that the deponent hath seen the said Thomas personally present at seauerall publicque meetings of the Countrey at the crosse of Killinicke, And further saith that to the deponents certaine knowledge the said Thomas was a collector of the Irish leuyes in the time of the warre (the certaine time & yeare he Cannot remember) His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent hath paid leuyes to the said Thomas during the time of his collectorshipp and further saith not &c
