The examinacion of James Peirce of Ballell gent aged about fortie yeares taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Robert Cheeuers of Kilscowrane in the Countie of wexford gent
<To the 1st inter> The Examinant deposeth that the said Robert dwelt in the & Barrony of forte in the County of wexford, all the time of the rebellyon, from whence he did not remooue into the english quarters, as diuers protestants in that barrony as Namely <b> Nicholas Codd Adam waller Edmond Burdeaux did the deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was well acquainted with the said Robert
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> The deponent saith that the said Robert Cheeuers did Contribute his person & was in actuall Armes against the english at the fight at Ballibegg neere Rosse where many of the english of the Ld of Ormonds Armie were killed His cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was at Ballibegg the time aforesaid where he did see <c> the said Robert Cheeuers in Armes which said Robert was not in nor vnder Comand for ought knowne to this deponent which fight at Ballibegg hapned on st or about st Patrickes d{ay} in the yeare 1642: which was the cause of this deponents taken certaine remembrance thereof
