The examinacion of John Keating of Baldenstowne gent aged thirty one yeares or thereabouts taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning william Keating of wexford Alderman deceased
<To the 1st Inter> The Examinant Deposeth & saith that the said william Keating dwelt at wexford in the Irish quarters, the first yeare, & the whole time of the rebellyon, & did not thence Remooue & betake himselfe into the english quarters as the seauerall english & protestants Inhabiting in <r> wexford did the deponents cause of knowledge is for that he at that time dwelt with the said william the said first yeare of the rebellion.
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d & 4th> The deponent saith that the said william did actually Contribute in the said first yeare of the rebellion & did act & abet the same & the robberyes therein Comitted vpon the english for that the said william was parte owner of a ffriggott called the Mary and John, which did much spoile at sea <s> & brought in to wexford seauerall prizes taken from the english, The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent was familiarly & Intimately acquainted with the said william, he being the deponents vncle by whome the deponent was informed, of his the said williams sharing in the said friggot & prizes by her taken, & further to the Rest of the Interrogatoryes he cannot depose &c
