The examinacion of Donnogh รด Breine Late of B{ } gent: aged fiftie yeares or thereabouts taken vpon o{ath} on the behalfe of the Comonwealth Concerning Nicholas mc Edmond of Rosseare in the barrony of Scarewailsh & County of wexford gent: vpon the Interrogatoryes annexed to the Comission of enquiry
<To the 1st Interr> The Examinant Deposeth and saith that the said Nicholas dwelt at Rossare aforesaid in the Irish quarters the first yeare, the whole time of the rebellyon, and from thence hee did not remooue into the english quarters as his english <b> & protestants Neighbours thereabouts & Namely mr [ Stannop ] dwelling did: The deponents cause of knowledge is for that the deponent frequently resorted to the said Nicholas his howse and dwelt within two miles to him during the said Rebellyon.
<To the 2d inter> Hee Cannot depose
<To the 3d inter> The Deponent saith that he beleiues the said Nicholas did contribute to the Irish chardges in the first yeare of the <c> Rebellyon and since, as this Deponent and his Neighbours that dwelt in the said Barrony with the said Nicholas, did, The Cause of that induceth this deponent to beleiue the same is, for that there were none exempted from Contributing to the Irish, vnder the penalty of hauing souldiers sent to lye on him or them for delinquency.

<To the 10th Interr> The Deponent saith that the said Nicholas had a sonne by Name Morgan, who was a souldiers in Collonel Cavanaghs Regiment for some yeares before the Lord generall Cromwells accesse to this County of wexford The Deponents cause <d> of knowledge is for that the deponent did see the said Morgan in Armes Marching with and among the souldyers of the said Collonel Cavanaghs Regiment in their goeing forth & Returne into the Countrey: But in which Capacity or office the said Morgan serued, or for how long time, the deponent knoweth not: and farther saith that the said Morgan during the time of his being
