The Examinacion of William Stafford of Tamon gentleman aged thirtie nyne yeares or thereabouts, taken vpon oath on the behalfe of the Comonwealth, Concerning Hugh Cauanagh of Kilcorkie in the barrony of Ballaghkeen, & County of wexford gent
The Examinant saith that the said Hugh Kauanagh was in actuall Armes for the Irish against the english, and had the Comand of a Companie of ffoote of the forces in the County aforesaid in the first yeare of the warre, for sometime while the forte of Duncannon was beseiged by the County forces, In which seruice the said Hugh Cavanagh was with his Companie The Deponents cause of knowledge is for that the said <m> Hugh did re come for his Debenturs from to this deponent whose was clearke at that time to the County C Councell for pay of him selfe and his said Company then Imployed in the Irish seruice and further saith not &c
